Do music, TV, and video games have a bad effect on children and young people?

Children today are surrounded by technology and home entertainment, some of it is full of violence. Listening to music is also time-consuming activity for young people. How does this influence their behaviour? Some people think that it has a negative effect whilst others think that it can enhance their learning.
First of all, listening to music is a good way to reduce stress. As they listen to music that they like, they usually relax in their own time. It can also be very useful to learn a foreign language. However, there are some disadvantages as well. For instance, annoying other people by listening to music too loudly, and a time-consuming activity etc. Some people say that there is no point in listening to music.
Secondly, we can get various and an enormous amount of information by watching T.V. such as the news, educational programmes, and documentaries. Those things intensify the quality of our knowledge. On the other hand, there are plenty of sex and violent programmes so it is quite clear that those programmes can be harmful to young people. Those programmes must be controlled by the goverment at the same time by a broadcasting station.
If so, what effects are there in playing video games? It is mentioned that it is quite useful to intensify creative power and get rid of stress. Besides, it can strengthen the ties between friends while they are playing. Otherwise, young people are easily addicted to playing video games for fun. Furthermore many people consider it is just time-consuming activity.
Over all, we cannot pinpoint exactly which one is useful and helpful for young people. They have both side; positive and negative. More than anything else we should be more concerned about using it by ourselves.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using computers?

More and more people are using computers in the present times. However, there are lots of good and weal points so I will show my views on this issue.
Firstly, we can get plenty of information from the Internet. It could be a significant advantage of computers. For example, we can acquire lots of special knowledge at home through the Internet instead of going to libraries and looking for it directly. Naturally, we can save time without spending money unnecessarily.
Secondly, we can communicate with other people abroad anytime and anywhere. You can intruduce yourself by making your own blog or website if you want. It is a good way to make people know each other.
Third, it is now possible to do online banking services, make reservations, e-businesses, e-mail, and e-shopping etc. There is no doubt it makes life more convenient and comfortable.
On the other hand, ther are also the disadvatages. There are a lot of harmful and dangerous web-sites. You can find them very easily by jush clicking such as making a bombs and drugs. These sites are quite dangerous to children of an adolescent period. Even some hackers are attacking their goverment or business for their profit and purpose. It could be a very serious threat. Furthermore there are also lots of incorrect information that can cause misunderstandings.
Therefore, I think there are lots of advantages and disadvatages of using computers. They could be useful and helpful to you or not at the same time. So I suggest that we should be more aware of using computers.

Wealthy contries should be required to share their wealth with poorer contries....

There are plenty of well-developed contries in the world these days such as G8 - the USA, England, France and Germany etc. - whilst there are also lots of underdeveloped contries. I suppose those kind of rich contries ought to share their wealth with poorer contries.
The most important thing is that international society is a community that people live together, not a community for a special nation or organization. For instance, if some well-developed contries held their isolation policy, the world would be serious about unbalance. As you know, ther are lots of poorer contries such as African contries, where more than 3,000 children are dying a day for famine, lack of medicine, and shortage of water. Otherwise, it is clear that the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.
The other reason is that the community of nations is able to grow by interaction. In well-developed contries, they can confirm their position of power in the world by helping poorer contries. Furthermore they can develop their economy and science by studying new medicine or technology to help the poor nations. So, that is why organizations such as the IFAD (International Fund of Agricultural Department) and IRO (International Refugee Organization) and etc are so successful.
Therefore wealthy contries should share their wealth with poorer contries to get rid of unbalance of international society as well as to develop their own economies and sciences through interaction. Well-developed contries ought to help and take care of poor contries.

Overpopulation causes many different problems...

World population has been increasing steadily over the past century. Nowadays surplus population is one of the biggest problems that we have.
Basically, surplus population gives us some problems such as a shortage of housing, difficulty in obtaining water, and an increase of noise etc. The shortage of housing by overpopulation has become intensified as the prices of houses has risen. As a result, civilians who do not have any power or money suffer from scacity of housing. They nomally rent or go flatting regularly move into other places. First of all, the proper way to solve this problem is to supply enough housing for civilians.
In some countries the difficulty in obtaining water by overpopulation is also a big problem. They usually shared uniformly for a day by a goverment or organization. These kind of areas are quiet urgent of related facilities and proper investments.
Another of the biggest problems caused by overpopulation has become aggravated by the competitiveness of society. As time gose on, the society is becoming hard to live. We must be the best to be alive in our society. Nobody remembers the person who got second place only the person who got first place. I think excessive competitiveness should be exclusive though it is good for the development of the society.
Over all, I guess the best way to restrict overpopulation is birthcontrol. However, it is only an encouragement but not an inforcement.

Traditional music is...

There are many different types of music in the world today. Traditional music is at risk of being replaced by international music such as reggae, rock, R&B, alternative, jazz, and hippop etc. We are losing our own traditional music because of this international music. If so, what should we do to preserve our own traditional music?
First of all, we should find our own style and character in our traditional music, although international music is quite good. We might lose our traditional music if we accept and enjoy them unconciously. For example, in Korea there is a traditional song called 'Arirang' which is usually sang all over the provinces. However, it has seldom been sung since international music was imported into my country. It could only be a problem in my country but it could also happen in other countries. As a result we accepted international music unconditionally and recklessly. We are losing our own special features in traditional music. There are lots of people who even do not know what 'Arirang' means, what they were singing about, why they were usually singing that song, and so on. Nowadays it has been sung in some parts of provinces or on special days like national independence day. It is quite a pity to lose their own traditional music within international music. There might have been a variety of tradition music.
In conclusion, I suggest we should protect and preserve our own traditional music before accepting other music including international music. I think it can be another way to admire your country as well as your hometown.
